What this work gives Aellic
There is no reliable single biomarker for overtraining: “none of them meet all the criteria to make their use generally accepted”. A multi-signal approach beats any individual marker — hence the corroboration through resting heart rate and respiratory rate. The statement names NO threshold values, however; the specific limits (+5 bpm, +1.5 brpm) are Aellic's own.
